PTA Council Nominations 2012

2012 is an election year for the PTA Council of Baltimore County, Inc. Nominations are currently being accepted for all PTA Council offices for the two-year term of office beginning July 1, 2012.

All nominees must submit the three-page PTA Council Nomination Form. Candidates for executive officer positions must have served at least one full year as a local PTA officer or one full year on the PTA Council Board of Directors. Candidates for Area Vice President (AVP) positions should reside in the cluster they represent. Click to access general information and duties of elected offices.

Nomination Forms must be postmarked no later than February 11, 2012 (refer to the form for details). Following that date, the nominating committee selects and proposes a slate of officers that will be announced at the March 22, 2012 PTA Council General Meeting. Additional nominations may be made from the floor on March 22nd if a completed Nomination Form is presented when placing the name in nomination. Elections will be held at the April 26, 2012 PTA Council General Meeting.

Area Vice Presidents (AVPs) function as liaisons between PTA Council and the local PTAs and are organized by educational areas and clusters.
