Our goals are to…
- Inform local PTAs of the issues pertaining to special education in the county school system, state, and nation;
Presidents and members of local Baltimore County PTAs, we welcome you to contact us for information and assistance.
- Encourage local PTAs to include special education parents in all PTA activities through BULLETIN articles and workshops where appropriate;
We encourage local PTAs, students and parents to participate in all county, PTA and community sponsored events that provide information and resources for Special Education. Need to know if any are planned, contact us, we would love to hear from you…
- Encourage local PTAs to include a special education liaison on their executive board;
Special Education services are a part of almost every Baltimore County Public School. Please invite and encourage a special education staff person or parent to serve as liaison on your local PTA.
- Help to provide parent education pertaining to child and parents rights;
Awareness of right and responsibilities as a parent or guardian of a special education student is critical to a successful experience and healthy relationship between family and school. - Act as a liaison to special education committees and groups throughout the county; and
